Scenario: Stabilisation After Installation in Compliance
Within 30 to 2 hours of the hot runner reaching the standard operating temperature and maintaining a steady condition, natural stabilisation (thermal equilibrium) is reached for armoured sheaths fitted in strict compliance with specifications. The precision injection moulding temperature control requirements are fully satisfied when the temperature measurement variation gradually approaches ≤±1°C.

The scenario is stabilisation following the correction of minor installation flaws.
Simple changes and recalibration can enable quick stabilisation in 15 to 30 minutes if there are small defects, such as an excessive space between the sheath and the temperature detecting hole or a little loose electrical connection.

Scenario: Stabilisation Involving Hardware Damage After repositioning the sheath and performing low-temperature annealing to relieve stress, gradual stabilisation can be accomplished in two to four hours if the sheath was excessively bent during installation, resulting in minor damage to the internal insulation layer or residual internal stress in the thermocouple wires. However, if drift continues for more than eight hours without stabilisation, it is a sign of permanent hardware damage; the sheath needs to be replaced because it cannot stabilise on its own.
