A high-precision reference calibrator, an anti-static wrist strap, matching signal connection cables, insulating tape, and other tools and supplies should be prepared along with a brand-new hot runner signal generator that meets the same standards.
To keep static energy from harming the new equipment's fragile electrical components, wear an anti-static wrist strap.
Steps for Removing Old Equipment: After making sure the old equipment is properly shut off, carefully remove it from the cabinet by removing each mounting screw from its mounting frame.
Check the condition of the power outlets and grounding connections within the cabinet, clean up any leftover old wires, and organise the cabling area. Verify that the grounding resistance is ≤4Ω and the power supply voltage is stable within the equipment's rated voltage range, satisfying the new equipment's power supply safety criteria.
Steps for Installing and Wiring New Equipment:
Tighten the mounting screws to provide a sturdy and secure installation as you carefully place the new signal generator in the rack in its original location.
In order to prevent incorrect channel connections that could result in mistakes in hot runner temperature control calibration, connect each signal output cable individually in accordance with the prior cable markings, making sure that the channel numbers exactly match the original definitions.
Make sure all terminals are tight and secure before connecting the equipment power cord. For insulation protection, cover any exposed metal wiring with insulating tape.
To guarantee dependable grounding and stop signal drift brought on by intense electromagnetic interference, connect the device grounding terminal.
Debugging and Verification After Replacement Procedure:
Turn on the new equipment and give it at least half an hour to warm up. To verify that there are no hardware issues on any channels and that the equipment is functioning properly, navigate to the equipment system menu and do a self-test.
To make sure the new equipment satisfies the calibration criteria of the hot runner temperature control channel, do a full-range accuracy calibration on it using a reference calibrator, controlling the output accuracy deviation within the equipment's nominal accuracy range.
Channel-by-channel testing of the signal output function verified that all channel output signals were normal, with a multi-channel synchronisation deviation ≤0.01s, completely satisfying the original system's synchronisation performance requirements.
