Are there specific steps for multi-channel synchronization of a hot runner signal generator?

I. Hardware Synchronization Link Setup

Prepare BNC coaxial cables and BNC tee adapters. Connect the CH1 synchronization/trigger output port of the master signal source to the external trigger input ports of all slave signal sources via the tee adapters.

Confirm that all terminals are free of loose connections and oxidation to ensure that there is no additional delay or deviation in the transmission of the synchronization trigger signal.

II. Master-Slave Channel Clock Reference Configuration

Power on the master signal source first. Enter the Utility system settings interface and select "Internal" as the clock source, serving as the unified clock reference source for the entire multi-channel system.

Power on all slave signal sources subsequently and enter their respective system settings interfaces. Select "External" as the clock source to uniformly operate according to the clock reference of the master signal source.

III. Channel Trigger Parameter Configuration

Select square wave output for the master channel of the master signal source. Enable the BURST function, set the type to "Infinite," select "Manual" for the trigger source, and set the trigger output to "Rising Edge."

Select the output waveform from the corresponding channel of all signal sources that matches the parameters of the master channel. Enable the BURST function, set the type to "Infinite," select "External" for the trigger source, and set the trigger input to "Rising Edge."

IV. Synchronization Trigger and Deviation Calibration: Confirm that all channel output switches are off. Click the "Manual Trigger" button under the master channel's BURST function. All channels will synchronously enter the output standby state.

Turn on the output switches of all channels sequentially. Use an oscilloscope to acquire the output signals of all channels. Fine-tune the time phase difference of each channel using the delay parameter in the BURST menu until the synchronization deviation of all channel signals is ≤0.01s.

V. Stabilize Synchronization State: Enter the Utility menu of all signal sources and set the power-on startup option to "Last Value." The device will automatically load the configured multi-channel synchronization parameters upon the next power-on, eliminating the need for repeated settings.

Note that the power-on sequence must be: first start the master clock reference source device, then start the slave devices sequentially to avoid clock reference confusion leading to synchronization failure.
