Service Life in Extreme Operating Conditions
The oxidation rate of the sheath's metal layer accelerates in hard working situations, which are defined by extended exposure to temperatures exceeding 600°C, strong vibration, or corrosive atmospheres. This shortens the service life to 6–9 months and requires proactive replacement.
Maximum Service Life with Appropriate Upkeep
The service life of some high-quality 316L stainless steel armoured sheaths can reach 24 months if the installation closely follows the national standard for long-term operation bending radii (≥20 times the sheath's outer diameter), insulation performance is routinely checked, and operation above rated temperatures is avoided.
