Based on the previously focused emergency handling scenario of a hot runner sensor probe being suspended, and given the background of having just completed initial clip reset and needing to completely prevent the probe from being suspended again, the detailed steps for secondary locking of the clips are as follows:

 

Pre-operational Safety Preparation: Disconnect the main power supply to the hot runner temperature control box and wait for the hot runner to cool to below 100°C. Open the heat insulation cover and clean any residual carbonized impurities around the probe to prevent foreign objects from obstructing and affecting locking accuracy.

Probe Precise Positioning: Push the probe fully into the mounting hole, ensuring the probe end face is tightly fitted against the hot runner temperature measurement reference surface, without gaps or tilting. Gently pull the probe; it should not come off naturally.

Clip Alignment Pre-locking: Align the original clip with the dedicated slot at the base of the probe and push it in parallel until it contacts the edge of the slot. At this point, the clip is in a pre-locked state, not fully locked.

 

Secondary Pressure Locking: Press both sides of the latch evenly with your thumbs until you hear a clear "click," confirming that the metal spring clip is fully embedded in the slot without any looseness or misalignment.

Lock Effectiveness Verification: Gently pull the probe three times along the direction it was pulled out. If there is no displacement or shaking throughout, confirm that the latch is fully locked in place and there is no risk of it popping out.

Auxiliary Reinforcement Finishing: Wrap two turns of high-temperature fiberglass tape (350℃ or higher) around the outside of the latch, covering both the latch and the flow channel fixing base to form a vibration-resistant and limiting layer.

 

Power-On Operation Verification: Re-energize and gradually increase the temperature. Observe that the temperature control reading is stable without any fluctuations. Run continuously for 30 minutes without probe displacement, indicating that the secondary locking operation is complete.
