This is a necessary step to ensure the accuracy of hot runner temperature control.
Core Necessity: Different thermocouples have slight individual differences in their thermoelectric characteristics. Even new parts of the same model may have inherent deviations of ±1~2℃. Failure to calibrate will directly affect temperature control accuracy.
Basic Calibration Steps: First, complete the freezing point benchmark calibration to confirm that the deviation at 0℃ is ≤±1℃. Then, select 2~3 commonly used process temperature points in the hot runner and compare them with a calibrated standard temperature gun to control the overall temperature measurement deviation within ±2℃.
Special Scenario Requirements: In high-precision medical and optical lens injection molding scenarios, an additional 2-hour continuous stability test is required to confirm that there is no temperature drift before formal production.
This step can completely eliminate individual errors of the new thermocouple and avoid subsequent production failures such as hidden overheating.
