I. Troubleshooting the Basic Parameter Layer

Verify Calibration Validity: Ensure that the calibration target paper model is entirely consistent with the sensor's range, the calibration distance adheres to the standard points outlined in the instruction manual, there is no significant light interference during the calibration process, and the accuracy deviation is not the result of an incorrect calibration reference system.

Verify Parameter Settings: Ensure that the zero-point and full-scale calibration coefficients have not been inadvertently altered, verify that the filter parameters and signal threshold configurations are accurate, and eliminate false accuracy deviations that are the result of anomalous software parameters.

II. Troubleshooting the Installation Structure Layer

Verify Installation Tightness: Ensure that all sensor fixing fasteners, clamps, and bracket connections are securely fastened, and verify that there is no loosening or displacement. To prevent long-term sensor displacement and drift and to resist equipment vibration, install anti-vibration pads.

Verify Coaxiality and Parallelism: Utilise a dial indicator to verify that the coaxiality between the sensor probe and the hot runner plate is ≤0.02mm and the parallelism deviation is ≤0.5mm. This will eliminate full-stroke linear deviation that is the result of installation misalignment.

III. Examination of the Signal Link Layer

Cybersecurity and Power Supply Inspection: Verify the continuity and insulation of sensor cables. Replace signal cables that are either damaged or old. Terminals that have been oxidised should be cleaned and polished. Verify that the power supply voltage is consistent and does not experience any voltage decrease or excessive ripple.

Electromagnetic Interference Inspection: Verify that the shielding layer is consistently grounded at one end. Ensure that signal cables are not in close proximity to areas with significant electrical interference. Verify that the shielding layer remains intact. Eliminate electromagnetic interference and ground loop interference, which are the sources of data jumps and accuracy fluctuations.

IV. Examination of the Hardware Component Layer

Optical Path/Probe Status Inspection: Use a lint-free cloth and dedicated alcohol to gently wipe the sensor's transmitting and receiving optics to remove oil, dust, and water mist. Prevent optical path contamination from causing detection deviations.

Internal Core Component Inspection: Evaluate the performance dispersion and attenuation of the photosensitive receiving components and transmitting light source. Verify that the internal circuit board is devoid of micro-leakage, grime accumulation, and moisture. Guarantee that there are no cold solder junctions. Resolve persistent detection errors that are the result of ageing or damage to core components.

V. Assessment of Environmental Conditions

Check the ambient temperature and humidity: Ensure that the sensor's operating temperature is within the rated range, there is no localised overheating causing component parameter drift, and there is no significant accumulation of dust, water mist, or oil affecting detection accuracy.

In order to eliminate accuracy deviations caused by asynchronous displacement feedback due to mechanical jamming, manually push the hot runner plate to its full stroke to validate that there is no jamming and the follower shaft is moving smoothly.

This layered check process is capable of addressing 99% of circumstances in which the accuracy is subpar following the repair. It commences with the most straightforward fundamental components to inspect and progressively progresses to the core hardware components, thereby eliminating the necessity for blindly disassembling the sensor and expediting the identification of the underlying issue.
