Regular General Plastic Injection Molding Conditions: Calibrate every 6 months, matching the annual hot runner maintenance schedule, to proactively identify hidden drift.
Containing Glass Fiber/Corrosive Engineering Plastics Conditions: Calibrate every 3 months. Temperature sensors in these conditions age and drift faster, requiring more frequent calibration.
Repaired/Replaced Temperature Sensors: Must be calibrated immediately after installation. Subsequent calibration should follow the standard frequency for the corresponding operating condition.
Points with a History of Temperature Drift: Retest weekly for the first month after calibration. Once secondary drift is confirmed, resume the regular cycle.
Calibration at the corresponding frequency can detect hidden temperature drift in temperature sensors 90% of the time, preventing batch production defects.
