I. Standard Waiting Time
Applicable Scenarios: The hot runner has completed the entire baking process according to specifications. After drying, the insulation resistance is stable at ≥20MΩ, and the temperature rise curve is completely normal.
Direct Production Waiting Time: After cooling to below 60℃, wiring and installation can be completed within 1 hour. Production can begin immediately after reaching the production temperature, without additional waiting.
II. Waiting Time Corresponding to Different Moisture Levels
Slightly Moist Hot Runner: After drying, cool to room temperature. Complete insulation retesting and visual inspection within 30 minutes. After confirming compliance, it can be installed in the machine and put into production directly after heating. Total waiting time ≤1.5 hours.
Moderately Moist Hot Runner: After drying, allow natural cooling for 1 hour. After retesting the insulation resistance and finding no drop, complete wiring and heat to 100℃ for 30 minutes, then heat to the production temperature. Total waiting time ≤2 hours. Heavy Moisture Hot Runner: After drying, allow natural cooling for 1.5 hours. After two consecutive retests showing an insulation resistance ≥50MΩ, raise the temperature to 100℃ and hold for 1 hour. Then gradually raise the temperature to production. The total waiting time should be ≤3 hours.
III. Time Adjustment Rules for Special Scenarios
In high-humidity environments such as the rainy season/humid weather, after drying and installation, maintain the temperature at 100℃ for 30 minutes to prevent secondary moisture absorption during cooling before raising the temperature to production.
For large multi-cavity hot runner systems, after drying and raising the temperature to production, maintain the temperature for an additional 30 minutes to ensure uniform temperature throughout the entire runner before direct production.
If the insulation resistance still shows a slow downward trend after drying, extend the holding time to 120℃ for 1 hour for dehumidification. Only proceed to the production stage after the insulation resistance is retested and found to be合格 (qualified).
IV. Final Confirmation Conditions Before Start-up
After the hot runner reaches the production temperature, retest the high-temperature insulation resistance to ensure it is ≥0.1MΩ, and confirm that the temperature measurement deviation of all sensors is ≤±1℃. Once there are no abnormal alarms, production can be started directly.
