I. Standard Scenario
Applicable Conditions: The hot runner has undergone a complete baking process according to specifications. After drying, the insulation resistance is stable at ≥20MΩ, and the temperature rise curve is completely normal without any abnormalities.
Usable Time: After cooling to below 60℃, complete wiring and installation within 1 hour. Once heated to the production temperature, it can be put into production directly without any additional waiting time.
II. Scenarios Corresponding to Different Moisture Levels
Slightly Moist Hot Runner: After drying, cool for 30 minutes. Retest the insulation resistance; if there is no drop, complete wiring and heat to the production temperature before use. Total time ≤1.5 hours.
Moderately Moist Hot Runner: After drying, allow natural cooling for 1 hour. Retest the insulation resistance; if it is stable and meets the standard, heat to 100℃ and hold for 30 minutes, then heat to the production temperature before use. Total time ≤2 hours. Severely Moisturized Hot Runner: After drying, allow natural cooling for 1.5 hours. Retest insulation resistance twice; if it is ≥50MΩ, raise the temperature to 100℃ and hold for 1 hour. Gradually raise the temperature to production temperature before use. Total time ≤3 hours.
III. Special Environmental Adjustment Rules
In high-humidity environments such as the rainy season/humid season, after drying, raise the temperature to 100℃ and hold for 30 minutes to prevent secondary moisture absorption during cooling. Then raise the temperature to production temperature before use.
For large multi-cavity hot runner systems, after raising the temperature to production temperature, hold for an additional 30 minutes to ensure uniform temperature throughout the entire channel before starting production.
If the insulation resistance still slowly decreases after drying, extend the holding time to 120℃ for 1 hour to dehumidify. Retest the insulation resistance; if it passes the test, then raise the temperature and put the system into use.
IV. Final Activation Confirmation Conditions
After the hot runner reaches production temperature, retest the high-temperature insulation resistance; if it is ≥0.1MΩ, the temperature deviation of all sensors is ≤±1℃, and there are no abnormal alarms, then production can be officially started.
