Scenario without any locking configuration
The thermostat is in the factory default "automatic adaptation" mode. RC parameters automatically adjust according to the frequency of interference in the environment, with no fixed reset cycle. They may automatically switch to a reset at any time when interference characteristics change.
If a strong electromagnetic interference event occurs in the workshop, it may trigger the system's underlying parameter reset logic, and the RC parameters will be reset to the factory default value within seconds.
When the thermostat unexpectedly loses power and restarts, some older models will automatically clear custom RC parameters and directly restore them to the factory default value after restarting.
II. Scenario with only manual software locking
Under normal operating conditions, RC parameters can remain locked for 6-12 months without being reset and will not change automatically.
If no administrator password is set, unauthorized personnel may accidentally access the system menu and modify parameters, potentially triggering a manual reset at any time.
System firmware version upgrades or the execution of certain maintenance operations may accidentally clear the locked state, causing the RC parameters to be reset.
III. Scenarios with Complete Anti-Reset Locking
In a fully configured scenario with software and hardware latches enabled, an administrator password set, and a physical DIP switch installed, the RC parameters can remain locked for over 3 years without being reset.
RC parameter reset is only triggered manually by entering the administrator password, manually unlocking, and then performing a factory reset. There is no possibility of accidental automatic reset.
