I. Standard Start-up Time for Typical Scenarios

Applicable Conditions: Hot runner has cooled down (total temperature ≤ 60℃), insulation resistance is stable ≥ 20MΩ, and wiring is completed according to specifications.

Total Start-up Time: Within 1~1.5 hours, heat to the set production temperature. After confirming normal parameters, injection molding production can begin directly.

II. Start-up Time for Different Moisture Levels

Slightly Moist Hot Runner: Wiring must be completed within 30 minutes after cooling down. Heat to the production temperature to start injection molding. Total time ≤ 1 hour.

Moderately Moist Hot Runner: Wiring must be completed within 1 hour after cooling down. Heat to 100℃ and hold for 30 minutes, then heat to the production temperature to start injection molding. Total time ≤ 1.5 hours. Heavy Moisture Hot Runner System: After cooling to the required level, complete wiring within 1.5 hours. Heat to 100℃ and hold for 1 hour, then gradually increase to the production temperature to start injection molding. Total time ≤ 2 hours.

III. Production Start-up Adjustment Rules for Special Environments

In high-humidity environments such as the rainy season/humid season, after cooling to the required level, heat the machine to 100℃ and hold for 30 minutes to prevent secondary moisture absorption during cooling. Then, heat to the production temperature to start injection molding.

For large multi-cavity hot runner systems, after heating to the production temperature, hold for an additional 30 minutes to ensure uniform temperature throughout the entire runner system before directly starting injection molding.

If the insulation resistance still slowly decreases after cooling, extend the holding time to 120℃ for 1 hour to dehumidify. After the insulation resistance is retested and found to be acceptable, then heat to start injection molding.

IV. Final Confirmation Conditions Before Injection Molding Production Starts

After the hot runner is heated to the production temperature, the high-temperature insulation resistance is retested to be ≥0.1MΩ, the temperature measurement deviation of all sensors is ≤±1℃, the nozzle alignment is in place without the risk of overflow, and there are no abnormal alarms. Then, injection molding production can be officially started.
