The duration of automatic compensation depends heavily on the degree of sensor aging:
If the deviation is only caused by material buildup, after deep cleaning and automatic compensation is activated, it can maintain acceptable levels for 1-2 months. Some lightly aged sensors may even maintain this for up to six months.
For moderate aging (the diaphragm is slightly corroded), automatic compensation can only delay drift, generally lasting 2-4 weeks, after which the deviation will gradually exceed the acceptable range.
For severe aging (the deviation still exceeds the standard after cleaning), automatic compensation will only last 3-7 days at most, and the deviation will quickly exceed the standard again.
It is generally recommended to retest the zero point every 2 days after activating automatic compensation. If a rapid increase in deviation is detected, arrange for shutdown and replacement in advance.
