I. Timeline for Each Stage
Stage of Preparation: Five minutes. Confirm the normal wiring signals, complete the tool inventory, and preheat the sensor when it powers on.
Cold State Two-Point Basic Calibration: 10 minutes. Complete linearity verification, full-scale calibration, and zero-point calibration at three intermediate points.
Hot State Dynamic Calibration: 10 minutes. Compare the measured displacement with the theoretical expansion values at various temperature points in conjunction with segmented heating of the heated runner.
Alarm Threshold and Final Verification: Five minutes. Complete the full-stroke repeatability verification and over-limit alarm triggering test.

II. Factors Influencing Calibration Time
If a multi-cavity hot runner system necessitates the calibration of multiple displacement sensors simultaneously, the calibration time is only increased by 8-10 minutes for each additional sensor, thereby eliminating the necessity of repeatedly waiting for the hot runner to heat up.

In the event that interference arises on-site and necessitates investigation, the additional time will not exceed 15 minutes, and the entire calibration process can still be completed within one hour. The calibration operation can be completed rapidly during mould change intervals, and the short downtime window of the injection moulding production line is perfectly suited to the calibration time. Additionally, it does not occupy a significant amount of production time.
