How long does it take for problems to surface when the heating coil is incorrectly installed?

Based on the previous focus on hot runner injection molding scenarios, where improper heating coil installation easily leads to a chain of failures such as overheating and burnout, and heat conduction failure, the time it takes for problems to surface is directly related to the type of installation error:

Serious Wiring Errors: For example, a short circuit in the power cord or reversed temperature sensing wires will trigger an overheating alarm and smoke from the heating coil within 10-30 minutes of power-on, immediately revealing the problem.

Excessive Gap: With the heating coil suspended, heat dissipation is poor. Typically, after 2-4 hours of mass production operation, localized overheating and burnout of the heating coil will occur.

Minor Loose Connections/Small Gap: Only minor loose connections or poor localized fit may gradually manifest as slow heating and uneven localized temperatures over several days to a week.

Strictly following a stepped temperature increase procedure after power-on will allow for the immediate detection of most installation problems, preventing prolonged operation with faulty components.
