Fault Characteristics: No metal adhesion or seizing; only minor localised jamming; it will loosen after natural cooling.
Standard Repair Time: 30 minutes to 1 hour. After deburring, it is possible to reassemble it without the need for any additional processing, as only chilling and loosening are required.
II. Moderate Lock-up Scenario (Slight Localised Seizing)
Fault Characteristics: The interior wall of the mounting hole exhibits localised metal adhesion. In order to alleviate the blockage, a penetrating lubricant is necessary. Mould core cracks and mould plate deformation issues are absent.
Standard Repair Time: 2 to 4 hours, which encompasses the entire process of loosening agent penetration and settling, tapping to loosen, component removal, grinding and cleaning, and reassembly verification.
III. Severe Lock-up Scenario (Moderate Damage from Mould)
Fault Characteristics: The mounting opening is severely seizing, necessitating thermal expansion to alleviate the jamming. It is also accompanied by micro-cracks in the mould core and mounting cavity scratches.
The standard repair time is 1-3 days, which encompasses the following: unloading, argon arc welding repair of the mould core, boring and repairing the mounting holes, tension relief, accuracy retesting, and reassembly and debugging.
IV. Severe Mould Damage Extreme Lock-up Scenario
Fault Characteristics: The core moulding components are scrapped, the mould core is completely cracked, and the template is deformed over a large area.
The standard repair time is 7-15 days, and it necessitates the re-adaptation of thermal expansion clearances, correction of template form and position tolerances, and the creation of custom-made mould cores. The total cost of the repairs exceeds 50,000 RMB.
There are 90% of routine thermal expansion lock-up faults in daily production lines that are mild/moderate scenarios. These faults can be promptly repaired within four hours, thereby minimising production line downtime.
