Applicable Scenarios: Brand new, unopened hot runners; insulation resistance ≥ 5MΩ after opening; for preventative moisture protection only.
Total Time: 8 hours
Segmented Time Allocation: 80℃ low-temperature preheating 2 hours → 120℃ medium-temperature dehumidification 4 hours → 160℃ high-temperature curing 2 hours
II. Baking Time for Slightly Moisturized Hot Runners
Applicable Scenarios: After opening, exposed to a humid environment for 2-4 hours; insulation resistance between 1-5MΩ; no obvious water ingress.
Total Time: 12 hours
Segmented Time Allocation: 80℃ low-temperature preheating 3 hours → 120℃ medium-temperature dehumidification 7 hours → 160℃ high-temperature curing 2 hours
III. Baking Time for Severely Moisturized Hot Runners
Applicable Scenarios: Hot runner surface shows condensation; insulation resistance < 1MΩ; or exposed to a high-humidity environment for more than 8 hours. Total Duration: 20-24 hours
Segmented Duration Allocation: 80℃ low-temperature preheating for 4 hours → 120℃ medium-temperature dehumidification for 14-18 hours → 160℃ high-temperature curing for 2 hours
IV. Duration Adjustment Rules for Special Scenarios
High Humidity Environment During Plum Rain/Return to Spring: All newly installed hot runners, regardless of insulation resistance, must undergo a standard 10-hour baking process to prevent hidden moisture absorption.
Hot runners in stock for more than 6 months: An additional 2 hours of 100℃ transition baking must be added before installation, with a total duration of no less than 10 hours.
Baking Termination Criteria: Insulation resistance must be retested every hour during baking. If the insulation resistance is ≥20MΩ after two consecutive tests and the value remains stable without increasing, baking can be terminated early without adhering to the full duration.
Supplementary Baking Requirements: If a product is cooled and left to stand for more than 2 hours after baking without being installed, a supplementary baking process of 120℃/2 hours must be repeated to confirm insulation compliance before installation.
