It is recommended to clean the hot runner multi-cavity mold cooling system quarterly. If hard water or an open circulation system is used, or if production is continuous 24 hours a day, it should be cleaned monthly to ensure cooling efficiency and mold life.

Recommended Cleaning Cycle Table |
|
|
Usage Conditions |
Recommended Cleaning Frequency |
|
Open Circulation System / Using Hard Water |
Once a month |
|
Closed-Loop System / Using Deionized Water |
Once a quarter |
|
Processing Heat-Sensitive Materials such as PC and PVC |
Intensive cleaning every 2 months |
|
24-Hour Continuous Operation Production Line |
Comprehensive cleaning every 50,000 mold cycles or every six months |
Key Judgment Criteria (When to Clean in Advance)
Inlet/Outlet Water Temperature Difference > 7℃ (Normal should be ≤ 5℃)
Cooling water flow rate decreases by more than 5%
Outlet water is cloudy, contains rust or sediment
Product shows shrinkage marks, warping, or multi-cavity weight differences > 2%
Practical Recommendation: Combining pulse cleaning machine + regular chemical descaling can reduce the cooling system failure rate by more than 65% and significantly improve the average mean time between failures (MTBF) of molds.
