I. Prevention of Pre-Commissioning
Selection and Compatibility Verification: Prior to deployment, verify that the sensor's accuracy class, operating temperature range, and range are entirely compatible with the hot runner's operating conditions to prevent performance incompatibilities that could result in subsequent signal anomalies.
Installation Accuracy Control: Ensure that the parallelism deviation is no more than 0.5mm and the angle deviation is no more than ±12° during the sensor installation process. To prevent jamming and jumps at the source, guarantee that the follower shaft is entirely coaxial with the centerline of the heated runner plate.
Environmental Screening: Prior to installation, verify that the installation site is situated at a considerable distance from high-power inverters, motors, and other sources of significant interference. To prevent data fluctuations induced by an unstable power supply, regulate power supply voltage fluctuations within ±0.1%.
II. Standardised Management During Commissioning
Adhere to the standard operating procedures: Prior to zero-point calibration, the sensor must be preheated for 15 minutes. In order to prevent subsequent zero-point drift, it is not recommended to calibrate the sensor directly when it is chilly.
Standard Wiring for Shielded Cables: Signal transmission cables should be equipped with anti-interference shielded cables that have a reliable single-end grounding of the shielding layer. To prevent electromagnetic interference, they should not share wiring ducts with equipment power lines or transmission lines.
Verification Process: Initially, the signal output is verified. Subsequently, the full-stroke accuracy is retested, and the alarm interlock is debugged. In order to prevent the accumulation of issues, it is imperative that each step be verified as qualified before moving on to the next.
III. Long-Term Prevention Following Debugging:
Completion of Debugging Parameters: Preserve all parameters, including the alarm threshold, full-scale calibration coefficient, and zero-point. These can be directly compared during subsequent periodic recalibration to quickly identify drift anomalies.
Establish a Routine Inspection Mechanism: To proactively identify potential ageing or loosening of the wiring, regularly inspect the grounding status of the shielding layer and the tension of the wiring every 1-3 months.
Environmental Protection: In order to prevent performance degradation and extend the lifecycle of components, sensor installation locations should be free of direct sunlight, high-temperature areas, and corrosive media.
Environmental Protection: In order to prevent performance degradation and extend the lifespan of components and prevent component degradation after long-term operation, sensors should be installed in locations that are not exposed to direct sunlight, high temperatures, or corrosive media. The commissioning efficiency and long-term operational stability of hot runner displacement sensors can be substantially enhanced by eliminating the occurrence rate of anomalies during commissioning to less than 5% through the implementation of this comprehensive set of preventative measures.
