To determine if an organization has CNAS accreditation, you can quickly verify it through official channels. The results can be obtained in three steps, as follows:
1. First Step: Request the Organization to Provide Accreditation Documents for Initial Verification
First, request the organization to provide a copy of its CNAS accreditation certificate and the "Appendix to the Accredited Testing/Calibration Competency Scope." Focus on verifying two points:
Confirm that the certificate is valid;
In the competency appendix, check if it includes calibration items related to hot runners, such as "temperature measurement," "thermocouple calibration," and "resistance temperature detector calibration." The presence of these items indicates that the organization meets the requirements.
2. Step Two: Official Website Verification (Most Authoritative, Check in 1 Minute)
Check through the official CNAS platform for absolutely accurate results:
Open the "China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) Official Website" and go to the "Organization Inquiry" section;
Select "Calibration/Testing Organization Inquiry" and enter the organization's full name or CNAS certificate number;
After finding the organization's information, click on "Accredited Scope of Competence" and check if it includes temperature calibration items: If the corresponding items can be found, the organization is truly qualified; if not, it is not qualified.
3. Avoid Pitfalls
Don't just look at the CNAS certificate displayed by the organization; you must check the scope of competence appendix: Many organizations only have CNAS accreditation, but their accreditation scope does not cover temperature calibration items, so they still cannot perform hot runner calibration;
Organizations with expired certificates have automatically lost their accreditation status and must reconfirm their accreditation status;
Local organizations can be directly requested to show the original accreditation documents to avoid forged certificates.
