I. Pre-Test Preparation
Hardware Preparation: Ensure the multi-channel signal generator, equal-length BNC synchronous trigger cable, high-precision synchronous distributor, dual-channel or higher oscilloscope, and anti-static wrist strap are all in place, and that the equipment is powered normally.
Status Reset: Perform a factory reset on all signal generators to clear any residual configurations and prevent old parameters from interfering with the synchronization test results.
II. Synchronization Link Setup and Basic Configuration
Using equal-length BNC cables and the synchronous distributor, connect the synchronous trigger output port of the master signal source to the external trigger input ports of all slave signal sources, ensuring all connections are secure.
Strictly adhere to the "master first, slave second" power-on sequence. Set the master signal source clock source to internal, and all slave signal source clock sources to external, locking them to run according to the master clock reference.
III. Synchronization Trigger Test
Select square wave output for the master channel, set the BURST function to "infinite," set the trigger source to "manual," and the trigger output to "rising edge." Select output waveforms from all slave channels that are identical to those from the master channel. Set the BURST function to "Infinite," the trigger source to "External," and the trigger input to "Rising Edge."
Confirm all channel output switches are off. Click the "Manual Trigger" button on the master channel. All channels will synchronously enter the output standby state. Turn on all channel output switches sequentially.
IV. Synchronization Deviation Quantization Test
Simultaneously acquire the output waveforms of the master channel and any slave channel using an oscilloscope. Read the time phase difference of the rising edges of the two signals and record the synchronization deviation value.
Track each slave channel one by one, comparing it with the master channel waveform. Record the synchronization deviation for each channel. Confirm that the deviation of all channels is ≤0.01s to be considered qualified.
V. Stability Verification Test
Maintain multi-channel synchronous output for 30 minutes, acquiring synchronization deviation data every 5 minutes to confirm no drift or loss of synchronization over time.
Power off and restart all devices. Confirm that after the devices automatically load the synchronization parameters, the synchronization deviation remains within the acceptable range. This completes the entire synchronization test process.
