How to Prevent Accidental Reset of RC Parameters

I. Multi-layered Access Control in System Software

Access the temperature controller's "Signal Filtering Settings" menu and switch the RC filtering mode from the default "Automatic Adaptation" to "Manual Hardware Latching" to prevent automatic parameter adjustment from the system level.

Set a dedicated administrator password, authorizing only process engineers to modify the RC configuration. Regular maintenance personnel should not have access to the parameter modification interface to prevent accidental operation.

Disable the temperature controller's automatic firmware upgrade function to prevent accidental clearing of custom RC parameters during silent background upgrades.

II. Physical Reset Protection in Hardware

Install a locking DIP switch on the signal loop of the RC filter network. After parameter configuration, switch it to the physical lock position to completely cut off the dynamic parameter switching circuit.

Replace the ordinary resistors and capacitors in the RC network with programmable high-precision RC modules with latching functions. Once parameters are written, the hardware is locked, and the configuration will not be lost even after a power outage and restart.

Add a hardware write protection jumper to the independent RC power supply loop. Shorting the jumper physically cuts off the parameter writing channel, preventing any system commands from modifying the RC configuration.

III. Monitoring and Backup Protection

A new real-time RC parameter monitoring node is added to the MES system. Every 5 minutes, the current operating RC parameters are automatically compared with the baseline value. Any deviation triggers an audible and visual alarm immediately.

The RC baseline parameters are pre-stored in the temperature controller's non-volatile storage partition. The system automatically verifies the RC parameters during each power-on self-test. If a reset is detected, the baseline parameters are automatically restored from the backup partition.

A daily RC parameter inspection mechanism is established. The morning shift maintenance personnel confirm the RC lock status upon power-on. Production can only begin after confirming the "RC hardware locked" indicator is displayed in the status bar.

IV. Abnormal Scenario Avoidance

Factory reset operations are prohibited while the RC parameters are locked. System maintenance operations must be performed only after the RC parameters are unlocked.

In areas of the workshop with strong electromagnetic interference, additional signal port filtering magnetic rings are added to temperature controllers to prevent accidental resets of the system's underlying parameter registers due to strong electromagnetic pulse impacts.
