Color-changing silica gel does not need to be "reactivated" after cooling. Its drying ability is restored after regeneration heating. Cooling is only to prevent secondary moisture absorption and does not affect its performance.
1. Cooled silica gel is already in an effective state. The "activation" process of color-changing silica gel is heating regeneration (baking at 100–120℃ for 1–2 hours). During this process, the adsorbed moisture is completely removed, and the microporous structure is restored.
Cooling is the final step in the regeneration process. Its purpose is to allow the silica gel to reach room temperature, avoiding condensation or moisture absorption due to temperature differences during sealing.
Once cooling is complete and it is immediately sealed and stored, the silica gel is in a dry, usable activated state and can be used directly.
In short: Heating = Activation; Cooling = Safe Preparation; Sealing = Maintaining Activity.

If not sealed promptly after cooling, exposure to air will immediately and slowly begin to absorb moisture, gradually decreasing activity.
3. When is Reactivation Necessary?
The heating regeneration process should only be repeated when the silica gel has been used and has absorbed moisture again (turning pink/red or green):
Judgment Criteria: Discoloration ≥ 1/3;
Operating Recommendation: Record the results after each regeneration. After more than 5 regenerations, strengthen performance monitoring.
In practical applications, "regeneration + cooling + sealing" completes one full activation cycle without any additional processing.
