Based on the previous focus on quickly stopping damage after hot runner overheating and preventing thermal degradation of heat-sensitive materials, the following safe and compliant methods can be used to quickly reduce hot runner temperature:

Disconnect heating power: Immediately shut off the power supply to all heating elements in the hot runner to stop continuous heat generation. This is the most direct first step in cooling down.

Auxiliary air cooling: Install a dedicated cooling fan on the outside of the hot runner manifold to accelerate surface heat convection and dissipation. This can quickly reduce the temperature to a safe range within 10-15 minutes.

Low-speed evacuation of melt: During the cooling process, use low-speed air injection to remove the overheated melt from the runner and simultaneously remove accumulated heat, further accelerating the cooling rate.

Activate mold cooling circuit: Connect the mold's built-in cooling water circulation system to indirectly remove some of the heat from the hot runner through mold heat conduction, assisting in rapid cooling.

During operation, it is necessary to avoid sudden cooling that could cause excessive thermal stress on the hot runner components and prevent damage to heating elements and thermocouples due to temperature shock.
