Based on our previous discussions on secondary repair and stress control of hot runner thermal shock cracking, we recommend the following specialized welding wires suitable for hot runners made of different materials:

304 Stainless Steel Hot Runner: Use S308L stainless steel welding wire. Its composition perfectly matches the base material, with consistent coefficients of thermal expansion, resulting in low post-weld stress and excellent crack resistance.

316 Stainless Steel Hot Runner: Use S316L stainless steel welding wire. Its corrosion resistance and high-temperature stability are on par with the base material, making it suitable for hot runners operating at temperatures above 250°C for extended periods.

H13 Mold Steel Hot Runner: Use H13 specialized surfacing welding wire. Its high-temperature strength and wear resistance are far superior to ordinary welding wires, preventing premature wear and cracking in the repair area.

Inconel High-Temperature Alloy Hot Runner: Use N06625 nickel-based welding wire. It has extremely strong thermal shock resistance, making it suitable for the harsh conditions of high-end, high-load hot runners.

All of the above welding wires can significantly reduce the stress difference between the repaired area and the substrate, preventing cracking from recurring shortly after secondary repair.
