The market is divided into imported brand hot runner thermocouples and domestic independent research and development products. There are obvious differences in alloy raw materials, production technology, calibration standards, structural design and price, which directly affect temperature measurement accuracy, high-temperature drift resistance, corrosion resistance and service life. Understanding the difference helps enterprises make reasonable selection according to mold grade, production demand and cost budget.
Imported thermocouples from Mold-Masters, Husky, EWIKON and YUDO adopt vacuum smelted high-purity original alloy materials, with strict component ratio control and extremely stable thermoelectric characteristic curve. Every product undergoes 100% full calibration with international standard temperature sources, with temperature tolerance controlled within ±0.5°C, almost no drift after long-term high-temperature operation. They adopt integrated laser seamless welding, high-grade Inconel sheath and high-purity insulation filler, with strong anti-corrosion, anti-oxidation and anti-bending performance, suitable for high-end automotive, medical and 3C precision molds, but with higher unit price and longer delivery cycle.
Domestic high-quality thermocouples have made great technological progress in recent years, using domestic optimized alloy ratio and automated production lines. The accuracy and stability are close to imported levels, with cost performance advantage, short delivery time and flexible non-standard customization ability. Regular domestic brands adopt full sealing and shielding structure, suitable for most home appliances, packaging and ordinary engineering plastic molds, fully meeting daily mass production needs.
Low-end generic domestic thermocouples use recycled alloy materials and manual welding processes, without full calibration. The initial use is normal, but the drift is fast, the service life is short, and anti-corrosion and anti-interference performance are poor, only suitable for low-demand ordinary molds with low production cycle and low quality requirements. In general, high-end precision molds prefer imported or high-quality domestic brand products; medium and ordinary molds can choose cost-effective regular domestic thermocouples to balance quality, cost and delivery time.
