Based on our previous discussion of PTFE conductor selection, temperature aging characteristics, and lifespan management in hot runner scenarios, the following key points should be noted when using PTFE conductors in hot runner systems:

Wiring Operation Standards: Avoid 90° hard bends of the conductors, allow for expansion and contraction, and prevent long-term compression by metal structures to avoid mechanical micro-cracks and premature aging of the insulation layer.

Temperature Management: Maintain a stable long-term operating temperature of the hot runner below 240℃, avoiding frequent operation above 260℃ to significantly slow down the thermal aging rate of PTFE molecules.

Environmental Protection: Physically isolate the conductors from highly corrosive injection molding additives and acidic/alkaline media to prevent direct contact that could damage the PTFE molecular structure and cause a decline in insulation performance.

Regular Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct random checks on insulation resistance and appearance every six months. If the insulation resistance drops below 1MΩ or the distributed capacitance increases by more than 30% from its initial value, replace the conductors preventively. These precautions can ensure the long-term stable operation of PTFE wires and avoid failures such as lag in hot runner temperature control and thermal shock cracking.
