You can reissue the certificate by following these steps, quickly restoring its validity without retesting:
1. Prioritize contacting the original supplier (easiest): Directly contact the original manufacturer/supplier, providing the purchase contract, payment records, and the original batch/furnace batch number. Generally, the manufacturer will reissue an electronic version or a stamped copy free of charge. The original manufacturer keeps batch records for 5-10 years; as long as the corresponding batch can be found, a replacement certificate can be issued directly, with the same validity as the original.
2. Solutions if the supplier cannot reissue the certificate:
If the original manufacturer is unreachable or the batch record cannot be found, there are two scenarios:
Small-batch finished product purchases: Send one sample to a third-party institution for spectral composition analysis. This costs 100-200 RMB and the test report can be obtained in 30 minutes. This third-party test report can replace the original material certificate.
Large-batch raw material purchases: Find a third-party testing institution with CNAS accreditation to conduct full composition and mechanical property testing, issuing a formal test report. This report can completely replace the original material certificate and meets acceptance and compliance requirements.
3. Supplementary Solutions for Purchasing from Distributors
If purchasing from a distributor and the original manufacturer cannot be found, the distributor can provide a copy of the original manufacturer's material certificate from the time of purchase, stamped with the distributor's official seal. This copy remains valid and does not require retesting.
As long as the composition can be confirmed to comply with the C276 standard, whether a replacement certificate is issued or third-party testing is conducted, it will meet the usage requirements.
