1. Normal Operating Conditions (Ordinary Plastics, Temperature ≤300℃): Sensors from top-tier brands with protection typically have a lifespan of 3-5 years under normal use; lower-cost products from smaller brands often have a lifespan of 1-2 years.
2. Extreme Operating Conditions (High Temperature/Corrosive Materials, such as PEEK, Fluoroplastics): Prolonged high temperatures and corrosion accelerate the aging of diaphragms and components. Top-tier brands shorten the lifespan to 2-3 years, while products from smaller brands often show sensitivity decreases and drift exceeding limits within one year.
3. Key Factors Affecting Lifespan
Frequent start-up and shutdown, and significant thermal expansion and contraction shocks: Lifespan will be shortened by about 1/3; Excessive installation stress: Over-tightening causes pre-stress on the diaphragm, leading to premature damage within 1-2 years; Over-range use: Long-term pressure exceeding 80% of the full range will accelerate component fatigue and shorten lifespan by half.
Under normal operating conditions, a qualified sensor should last for more than 3 years without problems.
