The tools required vary depending on the installation scenario. I have compiled a complete list according to common scenarios, so you can prepare accordingly:

1. Portable Testing (temporary measurement, very few tools)

Only two basic tools are needed:

Clean cloth/alcohol wipes: To clean oil and residual adhesive from the mold surface and ensure the magnetic base adheres firmly.

Adjustable wrench (optional): Used to remove the cover plate screws if needed to expose the manifold area.

2. Permanent Installation of In-line Sensors (Requires Matching Tools)

Tools are divided into two categories: basic tools and specialized tools:

Basic Tools

Hex wrench set/torque wrench: Used to tighten sensor mounting screws, controlling torque as required to prevent loosening.

Wire strippers/crimpers: Used to handle sensor wiring and crimp high-temperature resistant terminals.

Alcohol wipes/clean cloth: Used to clean mounting holes and surfaces.

Electrical tape/heat shrink tubing: Used for wiring insulation.

Specialized Tools and Materials

High-temperature sealant/high-temperature insulating adhesive: Used to seal wiring locations, preventing high temperatures and moisture from affecting the signal.

High-temperature shielded cable: Replaces ordinary cables, withstands high temperatures in hot runners, and shields against electromagnetic interference.

Drill bit (if no pre-drilled holes): Used to enlarge holes or machine mounting threads to fit the sensor size.

Multimeter: Used after installation to check wiring continuity and confirm normal signal output.

Notes

Installing in-line sensors does not require special large tools. Most machining workshops/mold repair shops have all the necessary tools. Only high-temperature sealant and shielded cable need to be prepared in advance.
