Mineral insulated thermocouples have gradually become the standard configuration for medium and high-end hot runner systems, replacing ordinary insulated thermocouples, relying on superior high temperature resistance, vibration resistance and airtight stability. Its internal structure adopts compacted magnesium oxide insulating filler, which tightly wraps the thermoelectric wire and is integrally sealed with a seamless metal sheath, completely isolating external high temperature, moisture, corrosive gas and mechanical extrusion.

In long-term high temperature working environment above 300°C, ordinary thermocouples are prone to insulation layer aging, melting and carbonization, resulting in short circuit and signal drift. Mineral insulated structure can maintain stable insulation performance under continuous high temperature, avoid aging failure, and keep temperature measurement accuracy unchanged for a long cycle. Meanwhile, the overall solid structure has strong anti-vibration ability, adapting to frequent mold opening, closing and high-speed cyclic impact, and will not produce internal wire breakage or virtual connection.

In terms of airtightness and corrosion resistance, the integral laser welding sealing process prevents volatile gas and oil vapor of plastic raw materials from penetrating into the probe. For flame-retardant plastics, modified materials and recycled plastics which are easy to produce corrosive smoke, mineral insulated thermocouples can effectively resist chemical erosion and avoid sheath perforation and internal wire corrosion.

In addition, it features small bending radius, flexible wiring layout, and is suitable for complex mold internal wiring and narrow installation space. It also has fast thermal response speed, accurate real-time temperature feedback, and helps the temperature controller form precise closed-loop control. For injection molding enterprises pursuing low failure rate, long maintenance cycle and stable mass production, mineral insulated thermocouples are the most cost-effective long-term solution.333
