Recovery characteristics of different drift types:

 

Environmental temporary interference drift: Slight drift caused by short-term power fluctuations, instantaneous strong electromagnetic shocks, or sudden changes in ambient temperature. After the interference source disappears and the equipment is fully preheated and thermally stabilized, the drift may decrease slightly, but it cannot completely return to its original accuracy state and requires further calibration.

 

Hardware parameter drift: Drift caused by aging of the internal crystal oscillator, temperature drift of the analog circuit, or long-term changes in the sensor's own structural parameters. This is an irreversible parameter offset and will not recover on its own. The drift will gradually accumulate and increase over operating time.

 

Ground loop interference drift: Drift caused by ground loop interference introduced by double-end grounding of the cable shield. As long as the grounding error is not resolved, the drift will persist and cannot recover on its own.

 

Zero-point uncalibrated drift: Reference zero-point offset caused by long-term lack of calibration. This is a system reference deviation and has no self-zeroing mechanism. It must be corrected through manual recalibration.

 

Once drift occurs, the probability of it automatically recovering to acceptable accuracy without any intervention is almost zero. After drift is detected, the source of interference should be investigated as soon as possible, and then recalibration should be performed to avoid the drift from continuing to expand and affecting the calibration accuracy of the hot runner temperature control channel.
