The 1800°C Furnace Industrial High Temperature Sensor B R S Type Ceramic Thermocouple is a high-end noble metal temperature sensor made for very high-temperature settings. It is made of platinum-rhodium alloys and is protected by high-purity corundum ceramic sheaths. It gives reliable, accurate measurements in tough industrial situations such heat treatment furnaces, ceramic kilns, glass melting, and metallurgical operations.
These thermocouples work better than base metal sensors, staying stable and lasting longer at temperatures up to 1800°C. The B type (PtRh30-PtRh6) is the best since it is very accurate and doesn't wander much in the highest ranges (continuous usage up to 1600-1700°C, short-term use up to 1800°C). The R type (PtRh13-Pt) and S type (PtRh10-Pt) are also great because they work well in oxidizing atmospheres up to 1600°C.
