1. Environmental Control: Temperature and Humidity are Key
Temperature: The recommended warehouse temperature is 10-15℃, with a minimum of 5℃.
Humidity: Relative humidity should be ≤50%. Wuhan is currently in its rainy season, and air humidity often exceeds 70%, so dehumidification equipment is necessary.
Monitoring Requirements: A temperature and humidity meter should be installed in the warehouse, and records should be kept at least twice daily. Any deviations from the recommended levels should be addressed promptly.
2. Storage Method: Standardized stacking for moisture and damage prevention.
Off the ground and away from walls: Storage racks should be at least 300mm off the ground and at least 250mm away from walls to prevent moisture penetration.
Categorization and labeling: Stack welding electrodes according to type, brand, batch, and specification. Each stack should be clearly labeled to avoid mixing.
Stacking layer limits:
Welding electrodes below φ4.0mm should not exceed 3 layers;
Welding electrodes below φ3.2mm should not exceed 5 layers.
Prevent the coating from cracking under pressure, especially for low-hydrogen welding electrodes with weak coating strength.
3. Packaging and sealing management:
Unopened welding electrodes: Original vacuum packaging should be intact, and the internal desiccant should not have changed color.

Disposal of Expired Electrodes: Welding electrodes stored for more than one year must pass a process performance retest before use.
Safety Warning: J507 welding electrodes that are damp, have peeling flux, or have corroded cores should be discarded immediately and must not be used for welding important structures.
